Nobody guessed this one, y'all.
Many old trunks, chest and padlocks sported these decorative swinging covers, possibly to protect the internal components from water and dust. The one above was found on a Louisiana plantation site.

This was an easy one for many of you. Civil War saber brass scabbard tip. The end sometimes was referred to as a "sword drag" and this one shows sign of dragging the ground. You can see some of the different types in the antique illustration.
