History Hunts

Recently, six members of our club spent 4 days metal detecting on some very historic private properties in Virginia. Discoveries ranged from early colonial to the 1870s. Some amazing discoveries were made. Some of the highlights are pictured below. The weather was amazing for this outing. The team of 6 explored some new and old land with lots of history. Discoveries ranged from prehistoric times to the turn of the century! Our last club hunt for the year. A small group of club members gathered to spend two days searching huge, plowed fields for artifacts dating from ancient times to the Civil War. Weather was a mixed bag. Day one was beautiful and mild. Day 2 was sunny but below freezing with 25 MPH+ north winds all day! 2013 was a banner year for History Hunts, LLC.
