January 2021 Ghost Town Metal Detecting Wrap Up

Its been a busy 2021, and I completely forgot to get the highlight post up for this outing. It was a blast! We kept this one very small but some great discoveries were made just the same. We spent two days scouring the site of a mid-1800s town site. Very few of the original buildings remain today. Lots of very interesting artifacts were recovered including coins; pocket watch parts; brass gun butt plates; buttons; buckles; tobacco pipes and loads of broken pottery and glass from the old town. I didn't get pictures of everything but below are some of the top finds. Everything was found metal detecting and sifting.
