January 2021 Texas Prehistory Hunt Highlights!
Recently, some of our members got together for two days of screening sand on the site of an ancient Native American camp located on private property that was once a sand quarry. It was no walk in the park but there were some beautiful projectile points, knives and other stone artifacts discovered. Thankfully the weather was kind to us. The day after we left the site was covered with snow! Some of the artifacts we found date back to thousands of years ago. Pictured are some of the highlights. Not pictured were more broken pieces, manos and an impressive metate. We were like a bunch of kids playing in a big sandbox - fun times!
