November Virginia Club Hunts I and II

Recently, two small groups of club members got together for two three day metal detecting outings in Virginia. One focused on Civil War sites and the other on early colonial sites.

For the most part the weather was very cooperative. Some great discoveries were made by all.

Some of the highlights included: three Confederate buttons (Georgia, Virginia and Block I); four Spanish silver coins; silver Civil War era badge; 17th century relics including tobacco pipe bowls and stems; Native American lithics; two large cents; two seated liberty dimes and lots of other artifacts ranging from the mid 1600s to the mid 1800s.
