September 2022 History Hunt Club Mississippi Weekend

We just wrapped the first mini outing of the Fall season. The very small crew of three braved the heat and rain to make some interesting discoveries while metal detecting and sifting on a 200+ acre wooded private property. The store token is very rare with only one other know according to the reference book. Other finds of note were several Civil War bullets (CS and US); Civil War Union eagle coat button, brass horse bit chain and brass toe tap; mid 1800s suspender buckles; numerous buttons dating from late 1700s to mid-1800s; and lots of Native American worked stone.
