A December to Remember

We just finished our last Virginia relic hunt of the year and, boy, what a hunt it was! We had a great crew of return hunters along with one good spirited newbie. Each day blessed us with some very interesting and rare finds. As a 10-man team, we found the following: approx. 100 Union and Confederate bullets, several Eagle buttons, Civil War camp items, lots of flat buttons, a couple of arrowheads, around 10 Indian Head pennies (including a rare date 1869 in very good shape), a damaged Confederate droop wing eagle staff officer's coat button, a beautiful "CS" sword belt plate - tongue portion, a unlisted "C" coat button (possibly Confederate cavalry), a stunning 1870 half dime made into a monogramed love token pendant, an uber rare 1862 Union cannon carriage brass maker plate, a coin silver Civil War era wedding band, and lots of other goodies. It was a hunt we will always remember and very appropriate for the holiday season. Christmas came early for this crew for sure!
