Things Really are Bigger in Texas!
We just returned from our first Texas Ancient History Hunt and a BIG time was had by all. Our two-day Native American artifact dig started with a bang on the first morning with several nice Archaic projectile points surfacing early. After two days of digging and sifting we were sore and blistered, but most of the team was wishing for one more day. As you can see, some beautiful and rare artifacts were discovered. Many of these date to over 4,000 years old! Expect to see more Ancient History Hunts in the future.

Margie's top find. A very large Archaic point.

Ashley scared this one up late in the hunt. It's a 4.25 inch Friday blade dating back several thousand years.

Nice small spearpoint in-situ. Found by Oregon Danny.

Sal wiggle-picked this out. It turned out to be a beautiful Frio spearpoint.

A very fine Frio found early in the hunt.

Cal George's day-two finds included 2 of the rarer mustache variety of Frio spearpoints.

Some finds from day one.

Other finds from day one.

A nice Pedernales surfaces.

A pic showing a hand-dug wall.

Some of us hunkered down in an area and were close enough to celebrate each other's finds.

Some of the day-two finds.
